OUR PEOPLE MAKE US WHO WE ARE

Our team is made up of some of the most highly skilled and experienced professionals in our industry. We have team members onsite at our main office in Savannah GA, as well as external support networks and strategic alliances from coast to coast. The team is led by the multi-generational trio of Gean, Tony and Todd Martin, who have over 70 years of combined experience in business, tax, financial, investment and insurance planning.

One of the members of the Martin family is hands-on with every client activity. Whether it’s business consulting, investment strategy or implementation of a comprehensive insurance design, there will never be a scenario in which one of the principles is not directly managing your strategy, planning, investments and policies.

OUR HISTORY

Gean Martin started his career with Prudential in the Group department assisting large employers (over 1,000 employees) in the design and administration of their health insurance plans. During his tenure with Prudential, he had the opportunity to work with a number of notable clients, including Holiday Inn and the North Carolina Automobile Dealers Association. His success led him up the corporate ladder until his next move was slated to be Newark, NJ. In a somewhat humorous moment, Gean recalls when his wife, Linda, who is from Virginia said “If you take this position, and want to move to Newark New Jersey, you’re going alone”. Wouldn’t you know, Gean decided it was time to make a career change.

In 1980, Gean and Linda moved to beautiful Savannah, GA, where they still reside, and started Martin Financial Group. With his expertise in corporate insurance and business financial strategies, Gean quickly established himself as a trusted and proven resource for business owners, accountants and attorneys in the areas of life insurance, disability insurance, annuities, and retirement plans.

As the business grew, his sons Tony and Todd joined the firm in 2001 and 2003 respectively. Their experience, expertise and interest allowed the firm to further expand its financial, investment, and insurance product offerings. In 2014, the Martin family launched M3 Advisors, solidifying and expanding their business consulting offerings. Soon after, Gean transferred both businesses to Tony and Todd, and they continue to run them to this day. In March of 2018, Gean Martin passed away after a battle with cancer. He will be forever remembered for his 40+ year career in the insurance industry.
